Soviet cosmonaut takes Coca-Cola to orbit in 1991

Documentary for Coca-Cola

On August 26, 1991, Soviet cosmonaut Sergei Krikalev made history by tasting the classic Coca-Cola in orbit. Meanwhile on Earth, a chain of events, which finally lead to the dissolution of the Soviet Union, has been set off. And in 10 months, Sergei Krikalev returned back from space to an altogether different country. We made a film about these extraordinary events.
The film features exclusive interviews with cosmonauts Sergey Krikalev and Andrey Borisenko, rare archival footage from the Mir Space Station, interviews with Andy Buckingham (General Manager of Coca-Cola in Russia and Belarus), as well as with Michael O'Neill, Craig Cohon, and Carlos Lema – the team behind Coca-Cola’s first steps in Russia in the early 1990s.
