That means a lot for us. Our movie It’s Getting Dark about families of political prisoners in Russia (director Olga Kravets, DP Nikita Pavlov) has been selected for the World Premiere at the 29th edition of International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam, which will take place from November 16-27.
We were told that the selection committee found the film subtle and poetic, and the parallel that is drawn between the past and the present very cleverly done.
It’s Getting Dark has been selected for the IDFA Competition for Mid-Length Documentary. This means that it will be eligible for the IDFA Award for Best Mid-Length Documentary, the IDFA Special Jury Award for Mid-Length Documentary and the IDFA Audience Award.
Premiering at IDFA, world’s largest documentary film festival, was our dream from the beginning, and we want to thank all the crew and especially all our protagonists.
